Platform for dialogue on the digital future

As a meeting place for the media and digital industries, the NRW Media Forum sees itself as a discussion forum for the challenges of the information society, and as a central platform for a dialogue on media and network policy. In 2015, the NRW Media Forum opened up even more to the internet and digital industries, young start-ups and creatives and, in particular, to the issues of digital transformation in everyday life from the users’ perspective. An important industry gathering – a next level forum for debate, exchange and networking in the convergent media world – was created in tandem with ANGA COM, Europe’s leading trade fair and conference for broadband, cable and satellite, in a unique combination of trade fair, media conferences and digital platform.

Media, diversity, politics

The opening oft he first conference day will be attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hannelore Kraft. This is followed by keynotes, talks and discussions, screenings and think tanks giving new impetus to the debate about the challenges in the new digital age. Exclusive networking events with representatives from the worlds of politics, media and society complete the programme. 2016 will again see the event being held at the Koelnmesse (Congress Centrum Ost) and the Industrie- und Handelskammer zu Köln in Cologne’s city centre.

The NRW Media Forum is organised by the Mediencluster NRW under the auspices of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and in close cooperation with the Federal State of NRW.
