Christian Stöcker has headed the Netzwelt Desk at SPIEGEL ONLINE since 2011. Mr. Stöcker has a degree in psychology and is a qualified culture critic, graduating in cognitive psychology in 2003. Since 2005, he has been a member of the editorial staff at SPIEGEL ONLINE, working initially on the Science and Netzwelt Desks. He also writes guest contributions for publications such as the “Frankfurter Hefte” and “Das Parlament”. His book “Nerd Attack! A History of the Digital World from C64 to Twitter and Facebook”, appeared in 2011, followed in 2012 by “We Are Anonymous – the Mask of Protest”, written together with Ole Reissmann and Konrad Lischka. Mr. Stöcker teaches, gives talks and presents. He is a member of the jury for the German Computer Games Award. In 2010, the German Psychological Society presented him with its award for science journalism.
